Apple: the world's best PC company

It seems perverse to devote large swathes of PC Advisor to the iPhone - a product that isn't likely to be appearing in the UK until Christmas, but there's no doubt that the Apple iPhone is a big launch.

The smartphones market has been lying dormant for a couple of years now, but a touch of magic dust from the wizards at Apple – even enthusiastic PC users have to admit to some grudging admiration for what Steve Jobs and his brigade have achieved in recent years – could be all that's needed to breathe new life and energy into this product category.

We suspect our Apple iPhone review will set many a gadget-lover's brain working on how they will afford the iPhone at launch in five months' time. But enough about Apple, let's look at what you might buy right now.

As it happens, there's quite a lot. ATI has released its new set of mainstream DirectX 10.0 graphics cards - the Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT and the Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT. Can they match the achievements of the Sapphire Radeon HD 2900 XT? We give you the lowdown.
