Apple laptop safe from Bonfire of the Brands

He can't live without his iBook

Journalist Neil Boorman is to burn all his branded goods on September 17, but he admits that the one item that he'll keep is his Apple laptop – although he is removing the logo.

Boorman is a self-confessed brand junkie who's had enough and is creating a real bonfire of the vanities to toss his expensive clobber on.

Members of the public are invited to join him at his Bonfire of the Brands.

Although he describes his Apple iBook as a "glorified typewriter", it is the one personal belonging that he can't bear to throw on the flames – although there's a possibility that its battery will set itself on fire anyway.
