This just came through from memory manufacturer Crucial – a quick and easy way to identify which memory your PC uses.
Rather than have to dig out your manuals or delve through system specs, just download the Crucial System Scanner and it'll quickly check your computer then find the memory that matches.
Crucial says: "It leaves no footprint on the user's computer, but each report is assigned a unique Scan ID code. This feature allows customers to reference the report again in the future, for instance, if they choose to consult with a Crucial Memory Expert support representative."
Worked on both my notebook and desktop PC. Worth a try if your PC is dragging its heels but you've no idea what memory it takes.
