Opinion: Displair gives you a touchscreen out of thin air
You can build more than you might expect with just a little bit of air flow and two microns of water. Like a virtual touchscreen display that appears out of nowhere. That's what Displair can boast anyway, with one of the more eye-catching demos I saw at CES 2013.

Opinion: No, you don't need new glasses, those are curved TVs
No matter how many times you rub your eyes, those things won't look straight. These concave OLED beauties are easy on the eyes, but heavy on the wallet.
-
Opinion: Smart fork says stop eating so fast
Hey, stop eating.
-
Opinion: Old console becomes new gadget
Are you the type that thinks video games were so much better back in the simpler times, before 3D graphics and realistic settings? Perhaps you're a fan of the Super Nintendo? Hyperkin would like to speak with you.
-
Opinion: Nighty-nighty goes high-tech with VTech's baby monitors
I confess to having had a very strained relationship with baby monitors when my daughter was just an infant. They would crackle at her every stirring, and I would tense up, preparing for the crying fit that was sure to come.

Opinion: CES: a hundred devices to rule them all
What struck me most about this year's CES was the sheer variety of products on show. Far from consolidating, personal tech grows ever more diverse. And that's a good thing.

Opinion: Tablets will Kill Laptops, Say Nearly Half of Americans
Although super-thin Ultrabook laptops are all the rage at CES this year, the majority of surveyed adults in one poll predict the tablet will ultimately take the place of the laptop altogether.
-
Opinion: Logitech's Cube is Tiny and Capable
Logitech demonstrated the Cube, one of its newest mice at CES Showstoppers. The tiny rectangular mouse is about 2 inches long and an inch wide, and besides being super small, it becomes a PowerPoint presenter the second you pick it up -- no flipping through modes.

Opinion: See, They Told Us So: Sony Confirms No PS4 at E3
Sony just confirmed we won't see a new PlayStation at CES, at E3, or, I think it's safe to assume, any other point in 2012. That much was never really in doubt, though I'd like to know why some sites think it's cool to just drop-claim things are going to happen (sources, schmorses!).

Opinion: Up Close And Personal With The LG Viper And Sprint Galaxy Nexus
Sprint held a special event for journalists and analysts alike at the TAO nightclub in the Venetian Hotel Tuesday night. The main event? The carrier's brand new LTE Android smartphones. I managed to get my hands on both the LG Viper 4G and Sprint Galaxy Nexus at the event; while this is by no means a full review, I liked what I saw from Sprint's newest offerings.
-
Opinion: Why the Netflix UK launch is such good news
Music download and streaming services have shown how copyright and user choice can coexist; it’s finally happening for video too
-
Opinion: Nokia Lumia 900: Windows Phone Gets the Hardware It Deserves
The Nokia Lumia 900 is the Windows Phone I've been waiting for. After months of rumors and speculation, Nokia President Stephen Elop introduced the world to Nokia's flagship Windows Phone at a press conference yesterday at CES in Las Vegas. I had the chance to get my hands on the Lumia 900, which is undoubtedly one of the hottest phones at CES. And yes, I was impressed.

Opinion: Make Your iPhone Waterproof With Liquipel
No, Liquipel is not simply a case for your iPhone. It is a patent-pending process of coating a device inside and out with a "nano" coating that is impervious to moisture. No, I wouldn't take your iPhone SCUBA diving or anything, but if you're accident prone, this may be just the thing to save yourself another embarrassing trip to the Apple Store.

Opinion: Eyes-On With LG's Stunning 55-Inch OLED 3D TV
I just fell in love with a TV. Unfortunately, it will probably cost around $10,000, so our cohabitation plans are unlikely to come to fruition.
-
Opinion: Recharge Your Phone with a Tablespoon of Water? Yup
There are lots of ways to produce electricity. We don't generally think about that fact because we're seldom very far from a power outlet. But when you're lost in the woods and your GPS device runs out of juice, an alternative to a power outlet sounds really attractive. And that seems to be what Signa Chemistry has created.

Opinion: Samsung Galaxy Note Gets Cloud Based Mark-Up App with Scribble
The Samsung Galaxy Note is a unique device somewhere between a smartphone and a tablet, and it comes with an interesting add-on called the S Pen. The S Pen is not just another capacitive stylus, but rather an active digitizer which provides better accuracy, palm rejection, and pressure sensitivity.

Opinion: Linux Takes on a Bigger Role at This Year's CES
The annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) event is always a fun place to learn about the latest new gadgets coming down the pike, but--aside from Google's ubiquitous Android platform--Linux has not typically played a starring role.
-
Opinion: Native Union Debuts a Refrigerator Post-It for the Digital Age
Native Union, the company best known for its colorful MoshiMoshi retro cellphone handsets, has created a device that has roughly the same footprint as a Post-It but is actually a battery-powered video recorder and playback device.
-
Opinion: Voice Controlled Apps Interface With Ford Vehicles
Apps are on everyone’s mind at this year’s CES and Ford is no different. The Detroit car giant paired up with INRIX, a leading provider of traffic information, to create a new version of their SYNC Destinations app.
-
Opinion: Samsung Announces Smarter, Slimmer HDTVs, Including 55-Inch Super OLED Display
Samsung announced their new top-of-the-line HDTVs today at CES 2012, and as usual, they raised the bar for glitz and glamour -- and added a few neat features as well.
