You really couldn't make it up. Apple is handing out cease and desist letters to companies that use the word 'pod' in the names of their products and services.
Why stop there? Why not stick a patent on the letter 'i'? (10 cents per use seems reasonable.) If I had my way, apple farmers would have to rename their crops, and anyone with the name Steve or a job of any kind would have to carry round a placard with those little 'TM' letters on it.
It's like the day Kissinger got the Nobel Peace Prize – satire is dead.
