Paragraphs 16 and 20 of the story "Dusseldorf eyes major role in future EU Unified Patent Court," posted Friday, incorrectly identified the source of some information from the European Commission. The information should have been attributed to a European Commission official. The story has been corrected on the wire and the two affected paragraphs now read:
Denmark is anxious to obtain agreement before its presidency of the Council ends on June 30, said a European Commission official.
"However," the Commission official said, "the entry into operation of the entire system is subject to the ratification of the UPC Agreement by at least 13 Member States, including three member states with the highest number of valid European patents."
