Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen has refused to answer questions regarding the so-called 'Australia Tax' during a press conference in Sydney on Wednesday.

Video footage of the press conference, posted to YouTube, shows Naraven avoiding questioning from an Australian journalist about why Adobe charges Australian consumers up to $1400 more for its traditional software, compared to US pricing.

Naraven refused to directly answer the questions, focusing instead on the company's Creative Cloud software,  which is closer in price across all regions, claiming the suite is the future for Adobe customers.

This week Macworld Australia reported that the Australian Government had subpoenaed Adobe, Apple and Microsoft to appear in court on March 22 to face questioning in the Australia Tax inquiry. Failure to attend the hearing, or avoid further questioning could result in legal action for all companies involved.
