Steve Wozniak to speak at IP Expo 2011

Apple co-founder to appear at event on 20 October at London's Earls Court 2

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak will speak at the IP Expo 2011 taking place on 19 and 20 October at London's Earls Court 2.

Wozniak, now chief scientist at Fusion-io, will will deliver his keynote speech, titled 'Today's Science Fiction, Tomorrow's Science Fact', on 20 October alongside co-presenter Rick White, co-founder of Fusion-io.

According to Fusion-io, the keynote "will present lessons in leadership, staying focused on goals, and how to champion innovation".

The title of the speech will raise a smile among those who are following the patent infringement dispute between Samsung and Apple, with the former arguing that Apple didn't invent the concept of a tablet computer, but rather that it was the brainchild of Stanley Kubrick.

Wozniak - employee number one at Apple - left full-time employment at Apple in 1987 but remains on the payroll and is still a shareholder in the company. He has started up a number of other ventures since leaving Apple, including CL 9 and WoZ. He joined Fusion-io in February 2009.

You can find more information about the event on the IP Expo website.
