ITV signs deal with Apple - report

80 percent of PC workstations to be replaced by Macs

ITV has signed deals with Apple and Google in order to increase collaboration between staff and enable employees to work remotely, it has been reported.-

According to Broadcast, ITV is to replace up to 80 percent of its PC workstations with Macs in the next few months.

ITV staff will also begin to use Google's web-based communication and collaborative working tools, Google Docs and Gmail, the report states.

ITV chief technology officer Paul Dale told Broadcast: "When I arrived at ITV, one of my tasks was to implement a company-wide plan for workplace technology in order to enable our staff to deliver ITV's transformation plan."

Dale did not state, however, how much ITV had spent on the plans.
