Barnes & Noble has cut the price of its Nook eReaders and tablets as part of the Get London Reading campaign.
The Nook Simple Touch eReader can now be bought at a tantalisingly cheap price of £29 instead of £79. The Nook Simple Touch GlowLight, Nook HD and Nook HD+ have also been discounted but the deals are only available for a limited time. Read more ebook reader reviews.

The Nook Simple Touch GlowLight is down from £109 to £69 while the Nook HD and Nook HD+ have been reduced to £129 and £179 from £159 and £229 respectively. The tablets and eReaders are available from retailers including Argos, Asda, Blackwell's, Foyles, Currys and PC World, John Lewis, Sainsbury's, Very and Nook.co.uk.
As well as the discounts, Barnes & Noble has announced it will donate 1,000 Nook Simple Touch eReaders to literacy charity, Beanstalk. Volunteers of Beanstalk will use the devices to "increase the access to digital books in key schools with high levels of illiteracy."
