Samsung will launch a Galaxy Note 8in tablet at this year's upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC).
While rumours surrounding the Galaxy S4 go through the roof, images and specifications of a Galaxy Note 8in have leaked online via DDay. Samsung will reportedly reveal the tablet at MWC next month with other devices too.
The Galaxy Note 8 or what Samsung could call the Galaxy Note 8.0 will use a resolution of 1280x800. Its screen size is almost identical to that of Apple's iPad mini which has a 7.9in display.
Rumoured specifications for the Galaxy Note 8.0 are a quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and a 5Mp rear facing camera.
Design-wise it looks like a huge version of the Galaxy S3 with the same rounded edges and physical home button. Since its part of the Note range, it will come with Samsung's S Pen stylus.
The 8in size makes it larger than the smallest of the Samsung Galaxy Tab family which is 7in. The Tab family don't come with the S Pen stylus. Samsung launched the Galaxy Note II last September which stepped up the screen size from 5.3in to 5.5in.
There leaked photos of the Galaxy Note 8.0 do show an ear piece suggesting it will be a smartphone as well as a tablet – now more commonly known as a 'phablet'.
We'll be heading off to MWC in Barcelona at the end of February to bring you all the news and hands-on with all the devices.
