Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 getting released this month

Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Note hybrid will arrive this month, says Samsung

Samsung has announced its Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet will be released globally this month.

The combination of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Galaxy Note will arrive this month but no exact date or price has been given. The news comes after Samsung said it will reveal its Galaxy Note 2 on 29 August.

Simon Stanford, vice president of telecommunications and networks at Samsung said: "Following the success of the very first Galaxy Note which we launched at the end of last year, we’re delighted that our UK customers will now be able to experience the evolution of this device for themselves."

"As well as being able to consume content such as videos, photos, document and the Internet, the Galaxy Note 10.1 also gives them the power to produce, create and customise that same content – something they won’t get from any other product on the market."

The Galaxy Note 10.1 is powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, a 1.4GHz quad-core processor and is the first tablet to boast 2GB of RAM. It features a stylus S Pen like the Galaxy Note and a 'Multiscreen' mode which allows two apps to be used at the same time.

Apps such as S Note, S Planner, Crayon physics, Adobe Photoshop Touch and Polaris Office are included and are optimised for the S Pen.

It also features software which debuted on the Galaxy S3 smartphone including Smart Stay and AllShare Play.

When the Galaxy Note 10.1 launches this month it will be available in Wi-Fi only and 3G models with an LTE (4G) edition planned for later this year.
