Court document reveals 2560 x 1600 Samsung tablet
Samsung is supposedly readying an 11.8in tablet with a 2560 x 1600 resolution to rival Apple's new iPad.
The tablet, possibly called the Galaxy Tab 11.8, was revealed in court documents relating to a trial with Apple. Its codename is P10 and the tablet will combine an 11.8in screen with a 2560 x 1600 resolution, according to The Verge.
If this is the case then Samsung's tablet will have a pixel density of 256ppi. This will rival but not quite outdo the Retina display which Apple's new iPad boasts. It has a 9.7in screen with a 2048 x 1536 resolution and therefore a pixel density of 264ppi.
The document stated the tablet is planned for 2012 so we'll have to wait and see whether it tips up or not. Tech show IFA begins in a few weeks so could be where Samsung unveils the device.
