Asus Transformer Pad Infinity release date is 31 August

The most action packed Transformer tablet will arrive in the UK next month

Asus has confirmed its Transformer Pad Infinity tablet will arrive in the UK on 31 August.

The Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich tablet, aka the TF700, will be available from 31 August with a price tag of £599. This sound pretty expensive but it comes with 64GB of storage and includes the keyboard docking station usually coupled with the Transformer tablets. See also: Group test: What's the best tablet PC?

Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700

Asus said: "A lot of you have been asking about news on the Transformer Infinity TF700T hitting the U.K this summer. Well we're pleased to announce that the Infinity will be available from August 31st on Amazon."

The Transformer Pad Infinity comes with a 10.1in Super IPS+ display boasting a resolution of 1920 x 1200. It also has an 8MP rear facing camera, Micro HDMI port and a 1.6GHGz nVidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor.

If the Transformer Pad Infinity's £599 price is a bit steep then the Transformer Pad 300 could be a good option at a more affordable £399.
