The budget tablet, made by Asus, is selling well in the US since it went on sale last Friday. PC Advisor's colleagues at PC World are saying the Nexus 7 is hard to find with some retailers running out of stock.

In the UK the release date, according to Asus, is 20 July online and 27 July in-store. However, Currys says the device is expected today, three days earlier than the 19 July which was originally stated.

Ebuyer also had 19 July but after checking today the date has changed to 3 August. HMV still has 19 July as its release date.

The Google Play Store is the only place to purchase the 8GB model for £159. The store touts shipping in 1-2 weeks.
