Microsoft's press event as it happens: Surface tablet launch

Microsoft arranged a press event today, 18 June, at which it launched two new Microsoft-branded Windows 8 pro and RT Surface tablets. Here you can read out live coverage of the Microsoft tablet launch. See also Microsoft announces new Windows Surface tablets for further details.

PC Advisor's American counterparts at PC World were at the event and brought live updated coverage of the event. The press conference was held at an unknown location in Los Angeles later today.
