Archos unveils new line-up of Android tablets

Including a 7.6mm Asus Transformer Prime rival

Archos has announced three new ranges of tablets at a press event in Paris yesterday. The most interesting is the Archos G10 xs which comes with a keyboard dock.

With the keyboard dock attached the G10 xs will be just 12mm thick, the same as Apple’s new iPad with a Smart Cover attached. It will rival the Asus Transformer Prime and retail for €200-300 (£165-240). Shipping will start in September, according to Arctablet..

Archos also unveiled a trio of Archos Elements tablets which will come with Google’s Android operating system. They will come in three sizes, 7-inch, 8-inch and 10-inch priced at €129 (£110), €149 (£125) and €199 (£165), respectively.

Last and quite frankly least is the Archos Arnova range. However, these will sell for the staggeringly low price of €50-150 (£40-120).

Details of specifications are not available at the moment but we’re waiting for more information from Archos in the UK so we’ll keep you up to date. For now take a look at Archos’ preview video of the G10 xs.
