Tesco offering Samsung Galaxy Tab for £529

SIM-free device will be delivered on November 2

Tesco has followed in the footsteps of the Carphone Warehouse and O2, by announcing it will stock the Samsung Galaxy Tab.

Samsung's 7in tablet PC, which runs Google Android, is the company's rival to Apple's iPad. The device is available through Tesco's online store for £529 SIM-free, with free delivery and 1058 Clubcard points.

Tesco says Brits that pre-order the Samsung Galaxy Tab will have the device delivered on November 2nd. The Carphone Warehouse is also offering the device SIM-free at the same price.

The 7in tablet PC runs Froyo, version 2.2 of Google's Android operating system and is powered by a 1GHz Samsung Hummingbird ARM-based processor.

The Galaxy Tab also includes 16GB of built-in memory, Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity and front- and back-facing cameras.
