1&1 adds smartphone optimisation to website creator

MyWebsite also benefits from social network integration

Web hosting firm 1&1 Internet has added two new features to its MyWebsite service that allows net users to build their own websites.

The service now automatically optimises every site created with the website builder for display on smartphones, by identifying which mobile device is being used to access the site

Furthermore, the 1&1 MyWebsite services now also comes with Facebook and Twitter integration that allows users to link their websites with their social network accounts and even add 'Follow Me' or 'Like' buttons to their site.

The social network integration is available on all MyWebsite packages, with prices starting from £9.99 per month plus VAT, while the smartphone optimisation is being added to both the MyWebsite Plus service, which costs £19.99 a month plus VAT and the MyWebsite Premium package that is priced at £29.99 per month plus VAT. Both features will also be roiled-out to existing MyWebsite customers.
