Lexmark is further extending its range of SmartSolution apps for its internet-connected printers with Basecamp.
Print to-do-lists and other Basecamp data without the need for a PC
The Basecamp app enables users of Lexmark's Platinum, Pinnacle, Prestige and interact web-connected all-in-one (AIO) printers, as well as its newest device, the Genesis S815, to view and print data such as to-do-lists and messages from the online project management tool Basecamp without the need for a PC. Furthermore, the app allows users to set-up an option PIN to ensure only those authorised can access the data from the printer app.
"The Basecamp SmartSolution further demonstrates Lexmark's initiatives to support businesses, especially those that employ remote or field-based workers. It is a collaborative tool which enables employees to have direct access to shared workflow, all from our industry-leading, web-enabled, touch screen all-in-one inkjet devices," said Tony Lomax, product marketing manager, Lexmark UK & Ireland.
There are already a host of SmartSolutions apps designed to increase productivity and efficiency. They include offerings from Facebook, Twitter, TripIt and Evernote, and can be downloaded now from Lexmark's dedicated web page.
