Android phones are known for plenty of things, but their gaming prowess isn't really one of them. That may change in 2011, as more games make their way to Google's mobile OS. Among the anticipated titles: EA's Need for Speed Shift and Madden NFL 11.

PlayStation App for iPhone and Android

As rumours swirl that Sony is working on a PlayStation phone, the company is confirming one thing: it is developing a PlayStation app for the iPhone and Android phones. An iPhone app might seem odd, given that Sony reportedly is very close to introducing an iPhone-rivaling, Android-based PlayStation phone in early 2011. But it also makes a whole lot of sense. Sony's EU blog confirmed development of the app in December, but did not say exactly when the Official PlayStation app would be available.
