To ensure you're not bored while you're stuck indoors this bank holiday weekend, as predictably it'll be raining, we've compiled a list of some of the most promising and interesting apps released this month on the iPhone and iPad.
Slate for iPad

Availability: iPad
Developer: The Washington Post Company
Price: Free
Although Slate doesn't think the iPad will be of help to magazines, the online publication has released its own iPad app anyway. As you'd expect, the app features all of Slate's latest articles, blogs, podcasts and videos, among other goodies.
The Museum of Modern Art

Availability: iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch
Developer: The Museum of Modern Art
Price: Free
This is pretty sweet: You can now 'tour' New York's Museum of Modern Art (or 'MoMA', as the cool kids call it) on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. Whether your taste is more Warhol or Van Gogh, there's sure to be something in the MoMA app that will catch your eye. Its currently only available in the US, however.
