ProcessOne launches instant messaging for business

Hosted.IM uses a company's domain name

ProcessOne has released a new messaging service that gives small businesses their own instant messaging capability using their domain name.

According to instant messaging firm many small businesses are still using free consumer IM clients as they don't have the time or money to manage a business-class solution.

However, Hosted.IM, which is free for up to five users, gives firms the ability to have their own instant messaging service without the need for on-site software or hardware.

Users of the service have access to a group chat and file transfer function, as well as the ability to connect to other instant messaging networks and create an archive of conversations held using the software, all without the need for its own on-site software and hardware.

"While consumer IM clients do allow for greater employee communication and collaboration, they don't offer the security and compliance that today's businesses require," said Mickael Remond, CEO of ProcessOne.

"With Hosted.IM we are giving small businesses an easy and cost-effective way to set up and manage company-branded instant messaging across their entire business."

To sign-up to the service visit ProcessOne's dedicated web page.
