Vista Ultimate users left disappointed

Range of Extras not very inspiring

Windows Vista Ultimate users have been left sorely disappointed by the latest round of free 'Ultimate Extras'.

When Vista Ultimate launched last year, Microsoft promised users that a number of exclusive 'Extras' would become available for the top-end version of the OS.

The offerings so far, however, have been few and far between. In the latest collection of Extras, Vista Ultimate users get two new Windows sound schemes and three new Dream Scenes, or animated wallpapers to you and me

However, it appears many users are less than impressed with the offerings. On the Vista team blog, which announces the new Extras, one visitor wrote: "It'd be nice if we actually received some decent applications as part of the extra's content. How is it that language packs are considered 'extra'. I paid a lot 'extra' to get Vista Ultimate. The premium paid is so far disappointing unless I go and learn 50 other languages."
