6% couldn't care less

31% of people want a Facebook Phone

Last week PC Advisor hosted a poll to see what people thought about the new Facebook Phone. Notably, an encouraging 31 percent of people thought the Facebook Phone was a good idea and admitted that they wanted a device with the Facebook Home feature installed on. However, it wasn’t all good news for Facebook and its new venture into a heavily Android OS integrated app, as a collective 56 percent of pollers revealed that they were against the idea of Facebook having anymore control or interference with their smartphone. The 56 percent figure was made up from two of the poll’s voting options. These were “Not interested – I’m happy with my current Facebook use and don’t want to give up any further data”, which took 25 percent of the vote. The second option, which gained 31 percent of the poll selected the option “Take it away – Facebook is for losers”. Take a look at our Facebook Home FAQ: What you need to know article too.

The remaining 13 percent of the vote was split between “Not sure – I do use Facebook but I don’t understand the benefits of having a dedicated Facebook Phone” (8%), and “I have no opinion on the idea of a Facebook Phone" (6%)/

2064 people took part in our “How interested are you in the proposed Facebook Phone” poll.
