Panasonic Australia has appointed Jason Coleman to lead its business systems group.

The former Canon direct sales general manager will oversee the sales of the brand's B2B offering - including Toughbook, projectors and commercial displays, broadcast and security solutions and phone systems.

Jason brings to the role over 15 years of industry experience across IT, office solutions, print and document management and information management.

Most recently, Jason spent two years at Canon Australia and nine years at Hewlett-Packard.

Panasonic Australia managing director Steve Rust said Coleman's impressive background and breadth of experience demonstrated strong and proven expertise in driving success, both for his own organisation and on behalf of customers and partners.

"His deep commitment to both external and internal relationship management is highly valued."

Coleman was appointed as director of the business systems group and said Panasonic had a great reputation for delivering trusted technology solutions that underpin its customers' business goals and strategies.
