Critical flaws found in Yahoo Messenger

Yahoo Messenger users at risk of hacking

Critical bugs have been discovered in Yahoo Messenger that could allow hackers to take control of a user’s system.

The Yahoo Messenger multiple flaws were found by security research company eEye Digital Security which enables remote execution of arbitrary code with minimal user interaction.

Version 8.0 of Yahoo Messenger software is affected and the severity of the bugs is considered to be high.

The vulnerability has been reported to Yahoo who is investigating the problem and working on a patch to issue that will solve it.
