Pelco picks DPSA as Australian IT distributor

Specialist IT distributor DPSA has struck a distribution deal with security camera manufacturer Pelco.

The agreement will allow the California-based Pelco, established more than 50 years ago, to navigate the transition to digital, as more businesses move to manage security through IT functions.

DPSA chief executive, Jacques Tesson, said the introduction of Pelco security solutions to the IT channel provided an exciting new revenue stream for its reseller partners and that there was a complementary fit with the distributor's existing offerings.

"Pelco is a well-known and highly regarded brand in security cameras and surveillance systems, backed by the global strength of its parent company, Schneider Electric," he said. "We see a great opportunity for our resellers to tap into the growing IP segment of the security surveillance market, with a good quality, well-supported product set."

"Many of our resellers are involved in server room and data centre builds and upgrades, and the opportunity to earn additional revenue from security hardware, associated network infrastructure, installation and ongoing service on these projects is very exciting."

DPSA is a specialist distributor delivering quality data centre and infrastructure solutions by vendors including APC by Schneider Electric, Pelco, Premlite, SendQuick, SPAM Titan and Zellabox. DPSA operates Australia-wide, with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
