TAS Managed Services appoints CIO and COO

Secure managed services company, TAS Managed Services, has made two new senior appointments, naming Jim Williscroft chief information officer and Jonathan Plaskow chief operating officer.

Williscroft will be responsible for leading the existing client management and project management teams, in addition to the newly created solution architecture and product management functions.

As chief operating officer, Plaskow will oversee the consolidation of all existing operational and technical functions.

TAS Managed Services CEO, Shane Baker, said the two new hires were made as part of a larger strategic restructure of the company.

According to Baker, the additional executive competencies will increase both the quality and breadth of services offered by TAS Managed Services.

"We are excited about the new strategic structure of TAS, as it aligns with customer feedback on where we can add greater value, as well as delivering to the strategic vision of TAS," he said.

He also claimed the roles will enable the company to respond effectively to new business opportunities and allow it to provide more focused and consultative engagements with its customers.

Williscroft is a senior IT professional with more than 25 years' experience in the industry. He most recently served in a similar role at Serco Group and previously held senior management positions in hosting/managed and professional services companies.

"It's an exciting time to be joining TAS as the company is gearing up for an even stronger focus on innovation, development of new services, and the ongoing improvement of existing services," Williscroft said.

Plaskow was previously director of professional services at Axe Group and operations director at Acision (formerly Logica). He has also had experience leading geographically dispersed operations teams. "I look forward to achieving significant business transformation and outcomes in the overall operations of TAS, and leading the company to improvements in procedures, processes, systems and ultimately the quality of service to our customers," Plaskow mentioned.

Baker also said the company is embarking on an aggressive growth strategy over the coming months, and is poised to double in size over the next three years.
