Adobe CS3 ships in the UK

UK price premium for Creative Suite 3 products

Adobe has begun shipping Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium and Standard editions and Adobe Creative Suite 3 Web Premium and Standard editions in the UK.

Also available for purchase are new versions of the following standalone creative applications: Photoshop CS3, Photoshop CS3 Extended, InDesign CS3, Illustrator CS3, Flash CS3 Professional, Dreamweaver CS3, Fireworks CS3, and Contribute CS3.

Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium and Adobe Creative Suite 3 Master Collection are both expected to ship in the third quarter of 2007.

Welcoming the release, Phil Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of worldwide product marketing, said: "The next generation of creative tools that our customers have been eagerly anticipating are here with the new Adobe Creative Suite 3 running on powerful Intel-based Apple Macs. We can't wait to see the amazing projects that our customers will create with these latest technologies from Adobe and Apple."

However, once again UK buyers will have to fork out more than those based in the US.

Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium edition costs £1,409 (excluding VAT) in the UK – it's equivalent price is a shocking £910.95 in the US.

An additional comparison: Creative Suite 3 Design Standard edition costs £895 here (excluding VAT), but just £606.54 in the US.
