Apple Said To Prepare ITunes Changes To Improve Sharing (Bloomberg)

Apple may have finally learned the same lesson that most of us picked up back in elementary school: Sharing is caring. According to Bloomberg, the company is planning an extensive overhaul of its iTunes software to add better integration with iCloud, improve media management and discovery, and even allow sharing. These changes will even be reflected in iTunes's new animated icon.

Weather alerts coming soon to smartphone near you (Associated Press)

Your smartphone may soon alert you of severe weather, thanks to a new technology from the National Weather Service which will send warnings to mobile devices whose users are in areas threatened by storms. It's unclear right now as to whether the iPhone will be included in this service, or whether Apple will trump it by announcing a new Find My Storm app this fall.

Facebook Plans to Speed Up its iPhone App (New York Times)

Facebook is apparently ready to trade in the HTML5 tech in its iOS app for real, genuine Objective-C. The end result? A far faster interface for seeing which of your friends have had babies, pictures of raucous parties you weren't invited to, and updates on what all your exes are up to. Not that I'm bitter.
