Canon wins PC Advisor's Best Budget DSLR award

PC Advisor Awards 2010: winners announced

The Canon EOS 500D has won the PC Advisor Awards 2010 - Best Budget DSLR award, after being named as the best model in its category to have come through the PC Advisor Test Centre over the past 12 months.

Offering 15Mp resolution, excellent low-light performance and HD video recording, the EOS 500D is a budget digital SLR that's good enough for professional shooting. It's small and lightweight, but doesn't sacrifice comfort or stability to achieve this.

Overall image quality is great, and the EOS 500D does a startlingly good job of shooting in low light at high ISO settings; full HD video quality is also fantastic. The Canon doesn't have an extravagant feature set, but it does offer everything necessary for almost any situation that a photographer might find themselves in.
