Two thirds of Brits share digital photos at Christmas

15% use Facebook to share pics

Nearly two thirds of Brits share digital photographs with friends and family over the Christmas period, says HP.

According to research by the printer manufacturer, 15 percent of us use social networks such as Facebook and Twitter to share our snaps.

HP also said that a third of web users were caught on camera doing things they were embarrassed about. Women are most likely to be mortified at being snapped while partaking in some seriously dodgy dancing while men were more bothered about being snapped nodding off on Christmas Day.

The research revealed that residents of Nottingham were most likely to send round embarrassing photos of friends and family on emails or post them on social networks while Edinburgh was named the place you'll most likely be caught on camera having a drunken cry.

Dexter Harriss, HP Imaging and Printing Group UK, says: "The Christmas period always presents many great opportunities to take really memorable and amusing photos".

"With the new HP Photosmart printer range with TouchSmart technology, families can print, scan, manage and edit their photos easily at the touch of a button."
