nVidia is set to release a 3D processor for use in mobile gadgets featuring a 3D screen, according to reports.

TechEye is claiming that it has access to nVidia's presentation at the upcoming Mobile World Congress. The presenter files suggest that nVidia will be this year ship a Tegra 2 3D processor intended for use in mobile gadgets featuring a 3D screen.

According to the 'leaked documents', the new Tegra 2 3D will be based on a Dual Cortex A9 clocked at up to 1.2GHz, offering 5520 MIPS and will launch in the first quarter of this year.

Mobile 3D is interesting because tablet and mobile phone users will always stare directly at the screen, moving it around within line of sight, inside the 'viewing cone'.
