Dell launches 19in widescreen LCD display

5ms response time for Dell SE198WFP

Dell yesterday released details of the Dell SE198WFP, a 19in flat-panel with a swift response rate of only 5ms, which should impress gamers.

Designed for use with Dell's rebranded Inspiron desktop PC range, the Dell SE198WFP is available now from £158 inc VAT.

The Dell SE198WFP has a contrast ratio of 1,000:1 and a maximum screen resolution of 1,440x900 pixels. Dell claims that the widescreen display will allow users to open multiple documents and web pages side by side, and in the brief time we had with the SE198WFP this certainly seemed to be the case.

The SE198WFP has tilt capabilities and comes with DVI (digital visual interface) and HDCP (high-bandwidth digital content protection) for digital and high-definition content. There's an optional wall-mounting kit and multimedia soundbar.
