VIDEO: demonstrations at Intel Developer Forum 2010

Some of the cool product demos at IDC

Here are some of the product demonstrations we recorded during the opening keynote at the 2010 Intel Developer Forum. The demonstrations showcased the speed improvements of the 2nd Generation Core Processor over the current generation, as well as cool implementations of the technology, such as a human gesture interface. Furthermore, we saw a Smart TV demonstration, as well as encrypted video conferencing (for mainstream PCs) and Intel Atom-based Wi-Di demonstrations.

GestureTek uses 3D cameras to allow human gestures to control the PC. It can be used for navigation applications and even gaming.

The speed of Sandy Bridge is highlighted in this benchmark comparison between SSE and AVX media extensions.

Here we have a Smart TV demonstration, which flows into an encrypted video conferencing demonstration, which then flows into a demonstration of an Atom-based tablet using Wi-Di (wireless display) technology.

Elias Plastiras flew to San Francisco as a guest of Intel.
