Apple to sell iPad in China from Friday

iPad will be available from Apple’s Retail Stores, select Apple Authorised Resellers

Apple will start selling its popular Apple iPad tablet computer in China on Friday 17 September 2010 from 10 am, the company has announced.

In China, the iPad will cost CNY3988 (around £382/$589) for the 16GB model, CNY4788 for the 32GB model and CNY5588 for the 64GB model.

The iPad will be available from Apple's Retail Stores, and select Apple Authorised Resellers. More details can be found at www.apple.com.cn.

Apple adds, the iPad will roll out to many more countries later this year. Availability and local pricing for these additional countries will be announced at a later date.
