Synnex breaks ground on new fully automated IT logistics centre

At 12pm on 12/12/12, major distributor, Synnex Australia, held its official ground breaking ceremony at 14 Parramatta Rd, Lidcombe, for its forthcoming fully automated IT logistics centre.

According to Synnex A/NZ CEO, Kee Ong, the construction will create the equivalent of 100 full-time positions for the next three years. This would increase spending and stimulate economic activity in Western Sydney.

The new 10,613sqm centre sits on 21,110sqm of land and is scheduled to begin operation in October 2013.

Ong said at a time when many technology companies were either cutting costs or delaying projects, Synnex's continual investment furthered its belief in focusing on the fundamentals of distribution.

He said, "This investment can enhance our offering of state-of-the art comprehensive logistics infrastructure. In return, all our customers can benefit from our upgraded superior services and knowledgeable support in a higher efficient manner." Representatives of the New South Wales state government, Auburn Council, project architects, construction partners and consultants, other VIPs, Golden Thinking Limited and, of course, Synnex, witnessed the ground-breaking ceremony.
