Mimo kit is backward-compatible with 802.11b/g

Belkin has unveiled its new range of devices based on the draft standard for next-generation wireless networking, 802.11n.

The new product range is called NI Mimo (multiple input, multiple output) Wireless Networking and is backward-compatible with 802.11b and 802.11g networking equipment. The company calls its equipment "the best wireless kit you will see this year", and promises easy setup and management.

Icons on front of the unit show security settings, modem and router functions, and internet access, along with the status of computers on the network.

The products will ship in the UK this month; final pricing has yet to be announced.
