Bulletproof Networks continues to pump up its business

Managed hosting provider, Bulletproof Networks, is continuing along its growth path as its plans to add more customers to its managed Amazon Web Services (AWS) offering.

Bulletproof chief operating officer, Lorenzo Modesto, said since becoming an AWS partner, it experienced a significant level of interest in the managed service offering.

It has already signed up customers such as Mortgage Choice and recently won all the managed hosting for Network Ten, which will use Bulletproof's local Direct Connect over fibre into AWS' local infrastructure, supplying managed AWS Bursting on Demand.

"There's always been significant interest in AWS from Australian customers," Modesto said. "But the main barriers have been perceived data sovereignty, latency and infrastructure management. Now all those barriers are gone and that's the reason we're seeing a significant interest."

To become an AWS partner, Modesto said it involved a fair bit of training in sales provisioning, support and infrastructure staff, and it is currently waiting for AWS certification training offerings.

"AWS enterprise support is a very important part of the service both for Bulletproof and our AWS managed customers," he said.

Modesto anticipates double digit growth in the next six to 12 months, and to support that, the company will also be hiring more staff within support, pre sales and sales roles.
