Verizon's activating iPhones like there's no tomorrow, Apple's releasing between zero and two iPhones this year, and customers in Asian countries can pick up cheap Apple products this week. The remainders for Tuesday, January 22, 2013 are on the slow boat to China.
Verizon may have lost money in its most recent quarter, but the company also activated 6.2 million iPhones. So, uh, I guess that bodes well for Apple.
Speaking of iPhones: A new report from the always trustworthy DigiTimes, saying that Apple will release two 4-inch iPhones this year, contradicts a previous report from DigiTimes, saying that the company would release a cheaper, larger iPhone this year. Which one is real!?
Apple customers in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand are getting their own one-day sale for the Chinese New Year this Friday. As with the company's Black Friday sale, customers will be able to pick up Apple products at a rare discount. For those of you here in the U.S. so tempted, just remember the savings probably won't cover your shipping costs.
