The firm announced the handset in February and according to the Korean LG newsroom it will be available in European countries including the UK, Germany and Sweden next month.
This is certainly in-line with smartphone retailer Clove which also has the 4X HD pegged for June. LG hasn’t announced any pricing yet but Clove will sell it SIM-free for £456.
You can guess from the price that the 4X HD is a high-end phone and the specifications reflect this. It is powered by an Nvidia 1.5GHz Tegra 3 quad-core processor and has a 4.7-inch True HD IPS touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1280.
Other specifications include Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 16GB of internal storage and an 8Mp rear facing camera. LG said a software upgrade in the future will add an ‘eco-mode’ for improved battery life.
