Just two days after it was issued, hackers have jailbroken the latest beta of iOS 5, despite it being issued on a Friday.
The iOS hacking community worked over the weekend to remove the limitations of the iOS 5 beta 6, giving developers jailbreak access to the new beta.
Engadget reports that the Sn0wbreeze v2.8 BETA for iOS 5 beta 6 became available on Monday morning, and seems to work on most iOS devices except the iPad 2. The jailbreak is tethered, so users will have to connect their device to a computer each time it needs to be booted.
This jailbreak comes after suggestions that Apple has upped its game to put a stop to untethered jailbreaking by altering the iOS boot sequence to require a signed authentication ticket - which is yet to be (and may never be) hacked. The iPad 2 has still not been hacked either.
