Along with plenty of other products, including laptops and tablets, Acer has confirmed that it will launch a new flagship smartphone and a wearable device in the coming months. The Liquid Jade smartphone and Liquid Leap smartwatch will launch in late July or early August.
Focusing on design, the Liquid Jade smartphone which runs on Android has no flat surfaces according to Acer. The front features curved Gorilla Glass covering a 5in screen. See also: Acer Aspire Switch 10 hands-on review: Windows 8 tablet and laptop in one device.
After a while of thinking about it, Acer has decided to jump on the booming wearable band wagon with the Liquid Leap. It's a 17mm band which Acer says will be capable of activity tracking and lifestyle tracking.
The Liquid Leap will also offer what Acer calls 'easy messaging' and will be bundled, in some countries, with the Liquid Jade handset.
Acer has warned that the Jade and Leap will be a 'limited release' so it's unclear whether the devices will launch in the UK or now.
