Apple iPhone launch date leaked

Cingular executive spills the beans

Steve Jobs’ keynote at the Macworld Expo in January this year revealed that the iPhone would be released in June but now US wireless company, Cingular, has let slip the official release date.

Although Apple has not yet committed to an exact launch, a customer service manager at Cingular has reportedly confirmed that buyers in the US will get their hands on the iPhone on 11 June.

The shipping date also conveniently coincides with Apple’s World Wide Developers Conference 2007 (WWDC) which will be held in San Francisco on 11 to 15 June.
