A you know, the Motorola Moto G is one of the best budget smartphones you can buy right now. But Motorola has announced an upgraded model with 4G LTE and a microSD card slot. Motorola Moto G 4G LTE: Price

The original Moto G launched at £135 and can now be purchased for a lower price. The new Moto G with 4G will launch at £149, Motorola said at the launch event in London.

However, Motorola's listed retail partners are all quoting around £10 more at £159. This includes Handtec and Expansys.

Motorola Moto G 4G LTE: Release date

Motorola never us a specific release date for the Moto G with 4G. However, retailers have put the smartphone on sale from today, 24 June.

You can get it from Handtec, Expansys (links above), MobileFun, Phones 4U and Clove. Amazon says it will be available on 30 June.

There's little difference between the original Moto G and the new model. As you can tell, the device now has 4G LTE support for faster mobile network data speeds which is great news. Learning from its mistakes and listening to what consumers want, Motorola has added a much needed microSD card slot to the Moto G. Expandable storage is an excellent upgrade and the only thing missing from the smartphone aside from 4G support.
