Holvast to lead Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise

Alcatel Lucent Enterprise has appointed Maud Holvast as its new vice-president for the A/NZ region.

Holvast will be making the move from the Netherlands, where she formerly held the role of Alcatel Lucent Enterprise country manager, to Sydney for the new role.

With more than 10 years' experience in enterprise business of the company, Holvast said she brings with her extensive knowledge of the business and strong understanding of the needs of the channel.

Holvast aims to use her experience in developing business relationships with partners and end users in her new position.

"We are focused on enabling more collaborative multimedia conversations with our OpenTouch communication and Application Fluent network solutions.

"We have seen the level of excitement already generated with our partners and I look forward to working with the team here to help enterprises embrace new opportunities in the Personal Cloud Era," she said.

Alcatel Lucent Enterprise claimed, in a statement, that Holvast is ideally positioned to help strengthen the company's offerings to its partner network and capture the growth opportunities driven by what she describes as the new "Personal Cloud Era", which is shaping the future of the enterprise market.

"The ways people are communicating are rapidly being redefined by the technology evolution and this is accelerating the need for business to adopt new business models.

"There is a lot of buzz around innovation in Australia as organisations look to invest in mobility and the Cloud and we are working to leverage this with our strong roadmap of product development," Holvast added.

She has also previously held a number of positions at KPN and CMG Wireless Data Solutions before joining Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise.
