First glimpse of alleged Samsung Galaxy Note 3 appears
With the Galaxy S4 now upon us, the rumour mill continues to turn for the Galaxy Note 3. The leak from My Drivers is the first photograph of the alleged smartphone and tablet in one next to the Galaxy Note 2. See also: Samsung Galaxy Note 3 specs leaked.
As well as the first proper glimpse at the phablet, the site has given a list of key specifications of the Galaxy Note 3. It will supposedly sport a 5.9in display with a Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. This size matches a previous rumour but doesn't correlate with last week's news that the Galaxy Note 3 will use a flexible OLED screen.
Other specifications include Samsung's Exynos 5410 Octa-core processor but with higher speeds than the chip found in the Galaxy S4. The A15 cores will be clocked at 2GHz instead of 1.6GHz but the A7 cores will still be 1.2GHz.
More information suggests the Galaxy Note 3 will come with a whopping 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Like other Samsung devices, there will be a microSD card slot for expansion. The Galaxy Note 3 will run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
When will we find out if these rumours are true and if the device photographed really is the Galaxy Note 3? Well Samsung is tipped to unveil the handset at this year's IFA show in September. However, it could also choose to hold an Unpacked event especially for the Galaxy Note 3 before or after IFA. With the Galaxy S4 freshly on sale, it's bound to be at least a few months.
