Is this the Samsung Galaxy S IV?

Leaked images of what appears to be the Samsung Galaxy S IV have surfaced on a Chinese forum, suggesting that the device will retain a similar look to its predecessor.

Published on Chinese forum 52Samsung.com, the images show a smartphone with the model number GT-I9502. The model variant leaked is believed to be a dual-SIM version specifically for the Chinese market.

While its unknown whether the leaked photos are legitimate, the images show a device that has a similar design to Samsung's Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II smartphones.

The phone appears to have a new pattern etched into the glossy plastic that adorns the front and back, while the side shows a brushed aluminium-style look.

Curiously, two of the images show results from the Antutu benchmark app. The device in the images runs the latest version of Android, 4.2.1 Jelly Bean, is powered by a 1.8GHz quad-core processor, has 2GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel camera. It also has a full HD 1080p display, though the size of the screen isn't mentioned.

The Galaxy S IV hasn't officially been announced yet but will be unveiled on Thursday 14 March (Friday 15 March, Australian time) at a press event in New York.
