Galaxy Note 3 phablet will feature 5.9in screen and Exynos 5 Octa processor
Samsung's Galaxy Note 3 phablet specification has been leaked including a large 5.9in screen.
The Galaxy S4 is being launched in less than a week but we've got Galaxy Note 3 news for you. In what isn't much of a surprise, the smartphone and tablet hybrid will feature a 5.9in screen, according to Know Your Mobile. The website cites The Korea Times which claims Samsung itself gave the news and said the Galaxy Note 3 will arrive in the 'latter half of the year'. See also: Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to use metal design due to HTC One.
Samsung's Galaxy Note 3's 5.9in display will use the firm's favoured Super AMOLED technology. The phablet will also use the Exynos 5 Octa 8-core processor which Samsung announced at CES and is believed to be used in the Galaxy S4.

Although flexible displays have been demonstrated, Samsung's Galaxy Note 3 apparently won't debut the technology. The news comes after Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 8.0 at this year's MWC.
The Galaxy Note 3 will follow on from the Galaxy Note 2 which has a 5.5in screen. Previous rumours suggested the Galaxy Note 3 would use a 6.3in screen so it's got a bit smaller.
In comparison with rival phablets, the 5.9in size is around the same size as the ZTE Grand Memo, Huawei Ascend Mate which have 5.7in and 6.1in displays respectively.
There's no details on the resolution of the Galaxy Note 3's screen but it's possible it will use a Full HD 1080 x 1920 res like the Sony Xperia Z and HTC One.
Other rumoured specifications include 16GB or 32GB of storage and a micrSD card slot for 64GB cards.
We don't know when the Galaxy Note 3 will launch but you can join us for full coverage of the Galaxy S4 launch next Thursday, 14 March.

Wirewolf7 said: i agree with everything you just said quite frankly im a bit surprised such a thing has not been released yet i carry my blutooth with me and use it with the very first droid iteratiion which isnt even very cumbersome yet i fear these phablets will be a bit weighty after a long phone conversation i always find myself wishing i could charge my blutooth with the phone battery and wishing i could just store the bluetooth unit into the phone body itself

Raheel Soomro said: What happened to bendable screen Samsung should do something about that if they want to increase the screen size because people are already finding it way too big for Note II unlike some people who have big hands like me
Anytyme said: It went from 63in to 59in It got smaller

Drake B said: I just want to note that I wish Samsung would add a detachable bluetooth ear phone on their phablets One that is ready to use upon detachment and is placed within the contour shape on the side of the phablet bodyIt doesnt need a lot of battery juice like the typical earphone because once youre done talking with it it will go right back on the phablet and be recharged With regard to uncomfortableness on the ear usage this will get better during trial and error in the development stage or successive model issues or they could get it right the first time And when competition kicks in youll see several awesome choices instead There is only less time to feel uncomfortable with it if it ever Another feature also is that you wont look like a geek anymore
